ph Miracle Before and After

Having been on the PH Miracle eating plan for more than six months, I thought I would share some of my thoughts as to how well it has worked for me.

I was very hesitant to try this plan because it would mean giving up a lot of foods I liked, although many of which I knew needed to go. But, I took a deep breath and said yes, I'll try it.

I tried to be very strict from the beginning as I knew my past history if I decided to cheat too often, and it was tough for the first month or two trying to balance a menu with my tastes.

I had been exercising on a regular basis for the previous year and was somewhat toned so I thought it would be hard to lose weight very quickly, but I was wrong.

First, I noticed my clothes fitting differently and then the weight started coming off faster than I ever would have guessed it would. I lost 25 pounds in the first three and one-half months and have now lost between 50 and 55 pounds, which was my personal goal.

I did not start the green powder until after the seven week course, and did not use it on a regular basis until about four months into the program. Throughout this program I have had lots of energy and felt great, even increasing my exercise program from three to five days a week.

In addition to the increased energy, other benefits include no indigestion and no cravings for a lot of the foods that I have always loved. On good experience I had during the past six months was a two week vacation where I wandered off the eating plan more than I had expected, yet I did not gain a pound. I also found it was very easy to get back on the plan during the time I was traveling as well as when I returned.

I have been very fortunate to have someone like Bonnie Murphy to work with me and encourage me throughout this process. The other class participants have also been a great support group!

WOW! Women on Weights is Great

Dear Bonnie,

What this class has meant to me is a great start and the courage to keep going with my fitness goals.

The class is fun and a great workout. The routines are simple yet effective. I can do these exercises at home and feel safe.

I like the other women in the class; we've bonded.

Thank you,

Susan Harlan

WOW ( Women on Weights ) Works

Dear Bonnie,

I am a lot stronger. I find I can do things I couldn't before. I can reach things-I can stand-my back doesn't hurt as much.

I need to keep working on my balance. It is really bad and I know it. I feel that my legs aren't as strong so I do things all the time to strengthen them.

There are many other things that I notice as we progress. I stand and sit straighter. I don't get as tired. You have reinforced all the good things that I knew to do, but didn't.

I'm Not INTO Exercise But I LOVE the Results

I would like to tell you about Bonnie Murphy as my Personal Trainer. I am 73 years old and I've been working with Bonnie on and off for the last 2 years.

I can't say enough good things about Bonnie. I am not INTO exercise and I resist at every turn. Bonnie has seen through my shenanigans and just pushes forward. She has given me a new outlook on exercise. I use to dread it and I'd let her know...she has changed my self-talk and now I think of exercise as "the most fun I've ever had in my life-time". We work together three times a week and I can see wonderful changes in my body and my self-image. Thanks to Bonnie I will be including exercise in my life no matter where I live. Bonnie might not add years to my life, but she's added life to my years! Bonnie is very knowledgeable about what exercises I should be doing. She is very cautious and makes sure that everything we do is safe. Bonnie has shown me how important stretching is and to make it a part of the exercise session. Bonnie encouraged me to get a heart monitor and we use it as our measurement tool for our cardio sessions. She is always checking with me to make sure that every aspect of the workout is challenging but not too much for me.

She would be a very valuable asset to your team. She is very personable and she takes time to explain things and is always a joy to be around. She encourages people even if they are not her clients. She is well respected at the Women's Nautilus Club and people are always asking her questions about fitness. She answers them very graciously. If she doesn't know the answer, she tells them that she will find out and get back to them. She never buffaloes her way through something or gives out false information.

Flexibility is Key to Success

For those who are serious about exercise the B-Fit program will benefit and enhance their lives. By learning the degree of flexibility which one can achieve helps in determining how agile the body can become without putting unnecessary strain at the beginning of the exercise program. Most of these goals were always adequately and encouragingly spelled out.

Strengthening certain muscle groups has given me more range of motion even in my aerobics exercises.

Most of the strength and flexibility I achieved in the two months of training will enable me to continue building a personal exercise routine for some time to come. Thank you Bonnie.

Remote Control Weight Loss

I have had Bonnie Murphy as my fitness coach in Anchorage, Alaska since 1997. I remember that her card says she specializes in "mature" women. I managed to lose ten pounds per year while she was my coach at a fitness club. By August of 1999 I had moved to a remote area of Alaska near the North Slope and was concerned that I would gain back all of the weight I had taken off in the years prior to the move. After all, I have struggled to lose weight all of my life. I also suffer from a herniated disk in my lower back. Bonnie helped me get on a very do-able fitness program. I had only a basketball gym in which to exercise. It began slowly but gradually has built up to a training program that lasts two hundred and fifty minutes per week at the present time.

She (Bonnie) has also sent me equipment and videos to supplement my aerobic walking and jogging. The best things I have at my disposal now are two types of electronic monitors (Caltrac & HR monitor). These were included in the price of the program. I now use my precious time very efficiently to increase my aerobic fitness by the actual numbers on my electronic equipment. I am totally motivated to do all of the routines with the help of the feed back I receive from the monitors. I have more energy than I could have ever hoped for at my young age of fifty three. I have lost twelve pounds from October to January. I feel better than I have in years. Many people in my new location have commented that I look like I have been losing weight.

I highly recommend Bonnie Murphy and Fitness by Phone® to all of you.

It Really is a pH Miracle

I first met Bonnie Murphy over the phone when I was looking for a tap dancing class. She was the fitness director at the Anchorage Senior Center at that time. Then she encouraged me to come to a Jazz Fitness class at Alaska Dance Studio on Fridays. I signed up for that. However, I had such a roll of fat around my middle I had a hard time doing the warm ups down on the floor. As a matter of fact, that roll of fat hindered me in some of the moves in the jazz dance.

Bonnie told me about the pH Miracle diet and the book and sent me information about her E-Class. Eventually, I signed up and between the exercise and the change of diet, the roll of fat started to diminish. I bought some exercise pants and could only find one shirt to fit me in the workout clothes department. It's been about 8 months now since I started losing weight and about 6 months since I have been on the pH Miracle Diet. Bonnie was my coach online for 12 weeks sending a weekly E-Zine letter telling me what to do and always giving me support when I needed it. I started drinking 5 liters of water a day and adding the baking soda. Then I stopped eating red meat. I couldn't give up everything all at once (I tried but I felt so deprived that I knew I had to do this gradually). Then I gave up a lot of fattening desserts and switched to non fat desserts. Bought olive oil first cold pressed and coconut oil and lots of vegetables, especially Broccoli. Bonnie said three quarters of my plate should be green and stay away from brown and white foods. I ate alot of tuna fish and still do. Occasionally, I eat a piece of chicken. I switched to Grapefruit for my first fruit of the day. It took several weeks to reach 5 liters of water and many trips to the bathroom at night. Now that problem has disappeared.

I now cherish my greens and my green veggie powder that I use in my water. My system is so sensitive to foods that are not good for me now, that it automatically flushes things out when I cheat and eat some red meat. Red meat is a dead food. So the body has a hard time digesting it.
I gave up all dairy but occasionally have an egg. My neighbor has live chickens and brings eggs over.

I have lost 15 pounds...am down a size and had to have all my slacks altered. My white workout shirt is so big now, it swims on me. The fat around my waist is disappearing. I am in tap dancing and graduated from Introduction to Tap to Tap I last term. I will stay in Tap I this next semester. My legs are slim and in good shape...my hips have lost all that extra fat...there are a few lumps of fat yet to lose around the waist but nothing compared to 8 months ago when I first met Bonnie. I looks so different. I always notice the fat under my chin disappearing when I lose weight. That has happened.

I feel good. Have lots of energy. And can shovel the front driveway and back patio and long walk out to the alley and still be in good shape and I am seventy years old.

If you are looking for a new way to lose weight and keep it off, try the pH Miracle Diet. Bonnie will be your coach for 12 weeks and you don't have to leave your home to this. The cost is minimal compared to the time spent and the positive results.

Oh yes, I eat sprouted bread, bean sprouts, alfalfa sprouts, clover, kale, and broccoli, asparagus, lots of salads, etc.

Decreased Blood Pressure 10 Points

I recommend Bonnie Murphy for fitness trainer/coach without reservation. When I began training with Bonnie in April, 2001, I was quite out of shape. I was falling several times per month, and had high blood pressure, even with medication.

I have not fallen once since I began with Bonnie, and my blood pressure has decreased over 10 points. I have received compliments on improved appearance, my clothes fit better and I have more energy. Bonnie has prepared me very well to continue with fitness training and work toward ongoing weight loss. I am very pleased to recommend her.

A Phone Client Letter

Dear Bonnie,

Thanks for working with me in your Fitness by Phone® program. I now know how to get maximum results from my 1 hour, 5 day a week workout time. It was tough starting the program the week before Thanksgiving and dealing with Christmas, but we persevered and I'm certainly happy we did.

With your coaching and encouragement I am burning more calories per minute of exercise, have expanded my cardiovascular capacity to a greater level, and have increased my strength and power. Every day I can measure my results and compete with myself to achieve a healthier and more gorgeous me. The extra bonus is that I am truly enjoying it.

Because you had been my aqua instructor at UAA, I knew you were a Fitness Professional, a qualified and enthusiastic coach, and that any program you endorsed is valuable. Thank you again for your support, good advice and enthusiastic coaching. If at 66 I can achieve such wonderful results, just think what everybody else can achieve.

I Couldn't Have Done It Without Bonnie!

Six months before my 70th birthday, I approached my son and daughter-in-law on the possibility of my celebrating the 70th year of my life by hiking the famous Chilkoot Trail of the 1898 Gold Rush. I promised to work all winter to prepare myself to carry 40 lbs. over 33 miles of wilderness trail. Lucky for me it was a hike they had always wanted to do. Can you imagine two healthy, strong 39 year olds being willing to put up with a 70 year old? A mother-in-law yet....on a hiking trip for 6 days in the wilderness?! It wasn't the 33 miles. It was the steepness of the trail. Near the summit we would gain 2400 feet in one day. Also it would require more stamina than I usually showed hiking at the back of the pack on weekly hikes.

My reputation was "slow but persistent." I was inspired to do the Chilkoot when my friend and fellow hiker, Donna Hackenberger, had successfully done the trail. I risked her saying no to my question, "Do you think that I could do it?" I solicited honesty and she said yes, but if she had it to do over, she would have started training months before. Donna told me of the exercise classes at the Senior Center that would help build stamina. I visted one of the classes. At the end of the class, when the instructor heard what I wanted to do, she said, "You need to see Bonnie Murphy. This class won't do it for you. Bonnie will design a special program for you to do in the weight room with your pack."

Bonnie was excited that I was taking this challenge. With 6 months to work and my willingness, she was sure we could have me ready for the Chilkoot in June. I came in twice a week doing the routines Bonnie had set down. On the other days I hiked on the Hillside with my pack loaded with items from the kitchen shelves. We started with 18 lbs. on my back and eventually worked up to 45 lbs. Every 6 weeks Bonnie would change my routine so I wouldn't get bored. I did this on my own schedule. Bonnie was always available to correct some routine if needed and she was always full of encouragement and praise. Bonnie and the people at the Senior Center made me feel that I was doing something very special.

I did the Chilkoot and at the dreaded "Golden Stairs" among loose rock and huge boulders and a height that was dizzying to look down, I was on all fours. My son suggested that I leave the pack and climb without it to the summit. He would come back and get it. No Way! Bonnie had trained me to do the Chilkoot carrying my pack every step of the way. I did it at age 70 and ....... I'm proud! But I couldn't have done it withouT Bonnie!!

The Eiffel Tower Challenge

The Eiffel Tower-it had always been a dream of mine to see it. Now it was to become a reality! My adult son called and said he wanted for the two of us to 'tour Europe' for 3 weeks. His energetic spirit has taken me on many adventures within Alaska. He said we would be traveling by bus, train, car, walking, whatever seemed right for the moment.

My mind whirled with thoughts of cities, castles, ruins, cobble stone streets. Then it screeched to a halt-I HAD TO BE IN SHAPE!! This once in a life trip, I could not sit at the bottom of castle steps saying "tell me what it was like when you return" because I couldn't make it up there.

I recalled an ad I had seen in the Wellness magazine and in the Senior Center Newsletter saying "for mature women". There it is, Bonnie Murphy. I explained to her what the situation was with my enthusiasm "your son will be so impressed".

I was impressed with her. She explained the Fitness by Phone® concept - which I wasn't sure I got completely but sounded like just what would do the trick. No commuting time or special clothes to buy or being in front of other people while I worked out.

She then told me the price and I held my breath. My mind went lightning fast - I'm saving for the trip, this is a lot of money for my budget, etc. I started to say I'll let you know but knowing if I said that I most likely would not call her back. I thought this is a once in a lifetime dream trip and I am worth this investment in myself. I said "yes".

There has not been a milli-second of regret for that decision. Bonnie exuded confidence in what she had me do, she was so supportive and enthusiastic and she really was always available for any question no matter how trivial.

With the constant monitoring by her and the Caltrac, I felt much more looked after and supported than in any club or other method that I had used to get in shape. Any time Bonnie would not be available she let me know in advance and for how long.

The steps it took to reach my goal were perfect: they stretched me but in no way overwhelmed. If I didn't reach the weekly goal Bonnie would discuss it with me like an adult and make new plans for the next time. I was not on a plan made up for anyone else. My goals and schedule were just for me not mass produced for hundreds of other women sort of my age. My own physical condition and wishes were always at the center of the plan. I've never been around anyone so supportive, caring and thoughtful.

So...at the end of the trip I was ecstatic! I had more strength and endurance than my son and I did amaze him. It was quite an adventure-record breaking heat, running to catch trains, descending into boats and cellars, hiking up to distant bridges. I didn't miss a single sight; not lofty castles, narrow-staired bell towers, castle ruins or certainly the top of the Eiffel Tower.
